  • Where can I get tinyWASH?
You can purchase our washer-dryer and accessories from our shop on this website, or from one of our specialist retail partners. You can find a map with all tinyWASH partners on this website in the Dealers & Service partner.
  • What is tinyWASH and what can it do?
The tiny WASH is a mini washing machine with an integrated dryer for motorhomes and campers with numerous additional functions. In terms of functionality, the tiny WASH is almost in no way inferior to a standard household washing machine/washer-dryer. The WT-1-x series (models up to 2023) can wash up to 3 kg of laundry (nominal capacity 1.50 kg, overload capacity up to 3 kg in the Smart, Small, Kids and Air washing programs) and 1.5 kg Dry laundry. The WT-1-x series (models from 2024) can wash up to 3.3 kg of laundry (nominal capacity 2.50 kg, maximum load up to 3.3 kg in the Smart, Small, Kids washing programs) and 1 Dry .5 kg of laundry. The device has been specially optimized for mobile use in mobile homes or caravans. Thanks to its compact design and a weight of just 17 kg, it can find its place in almost every motorhome. For washing cycles, the machine can be supplied with hot water of up to 60°C from the motorhome's electrical system, which means that there is no need to heat the water electrically - this saves massive amounts of electricity and protects the battery life when there is no shore power available.
  • What dimensions does the tiny WASH have?
The machine has the following dimensions: Height: 62.1 cm Width: 58.2 cm Depth: 35.2 cm
  • How is the machine operated?
The tiny WASH has an illuminated touch display that controls all settings, washing programs and additional functions.
  • Where can I find the operating instructions?
The latest version of the operating instructions can be found in German, English, French, Italian and Spanish in the download area of our website. If you need to look something up quickly and don't have the instructions to hand, you will find a QR code to the left of the detergent storage compartment when you open the lid of the washing machine. If you scan this with your phone or tablet, you will be taken directly to download the instructions in PDF format without having to search for a long time.
  • Do I have to “winterize” the machine?
If your vehicle is left unheated in winter and there is a risk of frost, the machine must be completely drained to avoid frost damage to pipes and valves. To do this, please follow the instructions in the operating instructions. Please note that if you install the machine in a non-insulated and heated area of your vehicle (for example the gas compartment of many vehicles) in winter there is always a risk of frost damage.
  • What do I do if the machine reports an error or runs abnormally?
With the operating instructions we provide you with assistance for possible problems, a breakdown of all error codes and ways to resolve their causes. Often, supposed functional errors have a simple cause. If the measures described are not successful, please contact our service department or the dealer from whom you purchased the device. You can also find further information about errors and their solutions in this FAQ, chapter Errors and causes.
  • Can I also operate the machine at home?
The tinyWASH was specially optimized for camping use in vehicles, i.e. for motorhomes, vans, campers, caravans, buses and for use in boats. We offer the tinyWASH WT-1-x series (until 2023) exclusively for the aforementioned purpose, we advise against stationary use. You can also use the new WT-1-EU-x series (from 2024) in households. Please note, however, that appropriate fastening materials for mounting on a concrete wall (screws, dowels) are not included in the scope of delivery. You can get suitable M10 or M12 screws and dowels in all hardware stores.
  • Which washing programs are available?
Usual washing machines for camping or installation in mobile homes, campers or caravans often only have very limited washing and spinning functions available - or the devices require manual work in many places. The tinyWASH Mini washer-dryer is in almost no way inferior to a full-fledged household washing machine, except for its capacity. Available washing programs WT-1-EU-x series (from 2024) Nominal washing capacity 2.50 kg (maximum load 3.3 kg), nominal drying capacity 1.50 kg (maximum load 1.5 kg), HOT: Wash hot up to 90°C SMART: Automatic washing program that automatically adjusts the running time of the washing process to the amount of load ECO 40 - 60: Energy saving program SMALL: For small items of laundry such as underwear, socks, etc. KIDS: Intensive wash for particularly dirty laundry QUICK: 15 minute quick wash cycle for lightly soiled laundry RINSE + SPIN: Rinse and spin for laundry that has previously been hand washed DRY: Drying. Our motorhome washer-dryer has an integrated condensate dryer with a heating output of 1,000 watts and can dry up to 1.5 kg of laundry. The drying program can either be started as a single program (without prior washing) or can be activated additionally for one of the washing programs - the washing machine then carries out the normal washing cycle with washing, rinsing and spinning and then goes straight into drying mode. For each washing program, the temperature, amount of water, rinsing and spin times, and drying time (30 - 180 minutes) can be adjusted individually. The temperature cannot be adjusted in the HOT washing program. Available washing programs WT-1-x series (until 2023) HOT: Hot laundry up to 90°C (1.50kg laundry load) SMART: Automatic washing program, which automatically adapts the running time of the washing process to the amount of load (nominal capacity 1.50 kg, overload capable of up to 3 kg load) AIR: Air laundry (1.50 kg laundry load) SMALL: For small items of laundry such as underwear, socks, etc. (nominal capacity 1.50 kg, overload capacity up to 3 kg) KIDS: Intensive wash for particularly soiled laundry (nominal capacity 1.50 kg, overload capacity up to 3 kg) QUICK: 15 minute quick wash cycle for lightly soiled laundry (nominal capacity 1.50 kg, overload capacity up to 3 kg) RINSE + SPIN: Rinse and spin for laundry that has previously been washed by hand (nominal capacity 1.50 kg, overload capacity up to 3 kg) DRY: Drying. Our motorhome washer-dryer has an integrated condensate dryer with a heating output of 1,400 watts and can dry up to 1.5 kg of laundry. What does overload capable mean for the respective washing programs? The machine has a nominal capacity of 1.50kg for all washing programs. However, some of the programs can be loaded with up to 3 kg of laundry, but not in continuous use. Permanent overloading leads to faster material fatigue and possibly damage to the motor or suspension of the drum. As a rule of thumb, we recommend not carrying out more than 100 wash cycles per year with overload (load exceeding the nominal capacity of 1.50 kg) so that you can enjoy the machine for as long as possible.
  • Does the tinyWASH have automatic detergent dosage?
Yes, the machine has an approx. 1 liter storage container for liquid detergent and automatically doses the detergent with each wash cycle. If the detergent is running low, the tinyWASH signals that a refill is required. The dosage amount can be adjusted in three stages; the dosage can also be switched off in order to add detergent directly to the washing drum.
  • How many revolutions does the machine spin?
Compared to other machines, our machine not only spins at 700 rpm, but up to 900 rpm (WT-1-x series) or 850 rpm (WT-1-EU-x series), which means that significantly more water is removed from the laundry. When fully loaded, the speed can drop to 760 rpm.
  • Can the intensity of the rinsing process be adjusted?
Yes, you can individually set for each wash cycle whether the laundry should be rinsed three, four or five times after the wash cycle.
  • How do I choose washing programs?
  • What setting options do I have for the washing programs?
  • How high can the load be during the drying cycle?
The tinyWASH can be loaded with up to 1.5 kg of laundry for drying.
  • Does the laundry dry properly?
The WT-1 has a built-in 1,400 watt water-cooled condensate dryer. You can set the drying cycle individually for each wash and dry cycle and choose whether your laundry should be dried for 30, 60, 90, 120 or 180 minutes. Depending on the load, you may need to set the drying process shorter or longer to achieve the desired level of drying. When loading with small items of clothing, such as socks, underwear, etc., the drying process usually takes between 90 and 120 minutes and reaches a drying level of cupboard dry. When loading with laundry made from heavy fabrics, such as jeans or thick terry towels, the drying process can take longer and it can There may be some residual moisture left in the laundry. Compared to a standard household machine, the condensate dryer in the tinyWASH is significantly smaller, as the very compact design means there is no space in the device for a larger condenser. This means that the drying time is longer compared to a home device and the degree of drying or drying efficiency can be lower, depending on the load.
  • Why can't I open the washing machine door when I have interrupted the drying process?
The WT-1 monitors the temperature in the machine. If you cancel the drying cycle, the machine will continue to cool for up to 10 minutes before the opening flap is released.
  • Why does the fresh water supply have to remain turned on during the drying process?
The condensate dryer of the WT-1 is cooled with water, which is why no exhaust hose to the outside (or comparable) is required. Even during the drying process, the machine barely gets more than lukewarm. In order to dissipate the waste heat, some fresh water is required for cooling.
  • Does the machine have self-cleaning?
Our motorhome washing machine with integrated dryer also has a self-cleaning program for the washing drum and internal pipes. We recommend using this once a month.
  • Is there a checklist which requirements should be met for installation?
You can find it in our download area at https://www.tinywash.de/montageschablone-checkliste a checklist that summarizes the most important requirements in the areas of electrical, water and installation location.
  • Is there a template for the machine to check the installation location?
In our download area you will find a 1:1 scale template of the machine in DIN A1 format at https://www.tinywash.de/montageschablone-checkliste . You can also print this on multiple pages on DIN A4 and glue it together.
  • Can tinyWASH be installed in the gas compartment of my vehicle?
It is generally possible to install our machines in the gas box, but it is often the case that the size of the gas box is not sufficient. Please note that you need approx. 3 cm of space underneath the machine in order to lay the water supply and drainage pipes without kinks. In most cases, you will also need a lifting system to remove the machine's wastewater. Please note: In most vehicles, the storage compartments for the gas bottles are not structurally stable enough to ensure that the machine can be suspended safely. In addition, in many vehicles the gas compartment is not heated and is hardly insulated, which means that in the cold season there is a risk that the washing machine could suffer frost damage if it has not been winterized. Installation in the gas compartment should therefore always be checked very critically in advance.
  • How is the electrical connection made and what power is required?
Our mobile mini washer dryer has a 220-240 V / 50-60 Hz power connection with Schuko plug. The maximum power consumption is 1,500 watts. Please note that for self-sufficient washing without a shore power supply, the inverter of your motorhome is sufficiently dimensioned and that your batteries can provide discharge peaks of up to 125 amps. Please note that work on your electrical system should, if necessary, be carried out by a specialist company.
  • How is the fresh water connected? How do I use the hot water supply option?
The fresh water supply can either come from the motorhome supply, alternatively with a direct water connection (campsite, parking space, etc.) if externally available. The fresh water line of the tiny WASH has a hose connector (construction identical to the Gardena coupling) and can therefore be easily and quickly switched from one supply line to another. For a permanent connection to the motorhome electrical system, we recommend connecting to your vehicle's cold water pipe. If you also want to do your washing independently, we recommend that you add hot and cold water to the tinyWSH and install a mixer. With self-sufficient operation and the supply of warm fresh water, significant electrical energy can be saved when heating the water. Please note that you must switch the mixer back to cold water for drying operation, otherwise the dryer will not work and the laundry will remain wet.
  • What water pressure is permitted or required? What requirements does my vehicle’s on-board system have to meet?
The tiny WASH requires an inlet pressure of just 0.3 bar, which means it can be used in a motorhome without any problems, even with small water pumps. The maximum operating pressure is 4 bar - please note this when using an external direct connection. Please note that when washing and drying, the machine constantly requires pre-pressure from your vehicle's on-board system, i.e. a pressure pump. The device does not have the option of connecting an external switching contact for a submersible pump, as is installed in some vehicles.
  • What options are available for wastewater connection?
The waste water can be fed into a water canister using the hose provided. Please note that the tiny WASH drains the process water automatically like a household machine and the water consumption of a wash cycle in standard operation is 12 to 18 liters. If you manually increase the amount of water for a washing program, this can also be 30 or 35 liters. The water canister must therefore be sufficiently dimensioned. Alternatively, the wastewater can also be connected directly to the gray water tank of the motorhome (connection kit can be ordered from us). We ask you to note that the mini washing machine does not have a wastewater pump, so the water runs on the machine with the help of gravity. If a sufficient gradient to the gray water tank cannot be achieved, we recommend connecting a small, external wastewater pump.
  • At which positions is the machine suspended / where does it need to be screwed or drilled?
In the installation section of the operating instructions for our mini washing machine, we provide a dimensioned drawing showing which holes/screw connections should be provided. In this area you will also find assembly instructions with TIPS for caravan assembly of the washer-dryer, i.e. in mobile homes, caravans, campers, etc., as well as assembly instructions for assembly in the household on solid walls.
  • What must be taken into account during assembly?
Mounting location and fastening - pay attention to centrifugal forcesDuring the spinning process, large centrifugal forces arise, which must be dissipated via the fastening/supporting structure. It must be ensured that the supporting structure of the vehicle (wooden paneling, etc.) to which the machine is attached is suitable for these loads. Please speak to your vehicle dealer or vehicle manufacturer about this. Improper fastening or incorrect choice of installation location can result in damage to the machine and vehicle! Check regularly whether the fastening has become loose and adjust if necessary. The machine must not have any play in the fastenings, otherwise it could swing open. If you are not an expert yourself, we strongly recommend that the installation in the vehicle be carried out by a specialist workshop.
  • When do I need an external lifting pump / wastewater pump to operate the washer-dryer in my motorhome, camper or boat?
If the wastewater hose between the machine and the gray water tank (or canister) is no longer than 2 m and has a minimum gradient of 10cm per meter, you do not need a lifting pump for operation. You need an external lifting pump to operate whenever (1) the inlet into the tank or canister is higher than the outlet of the machine (2) the gradient between the machine and the tank is less than 5cm per running meter of hose line (3) the hose line is longer than 2 meters
  • What height difference can the external wastewater pump bridge?
The tinyWASH EHP-WT-1 can bridge a height difference of 1.40 meters with the required flow rate of 10 liters per minute.
  • Are there suitable accessories for installation in the rear garage of my motorhome?
Yes, there is the tiny WASH built-in KIT. You can purchase this from our shop by specifying the height of your motorhome rear garage. The installation KIT offers the advantage that installation can be carried out without any drilling in the wooden paneling of your motorhome, meaning that the washer-dryer/washing machine can be removed again at a later date without any damage remaining. No camper wants holes in their precious motorhome.
  • Is there a kit for connecting the washing machine's waste water to my motorhome's gray water tank?
You can order a connection set with the machine. This is available in two versions: 1) Wastewater hose 5m, screwable tank inlet, clamps 2) Wastewater pump 230V, wastewater hose 5m, screwable tank inlet, clamps We recommend variant 2 with a wastewater pump if there is not a sufficient gradient from the outlet of the washing machine to the gray water tank of your motorhome - the pump collects the wastewater from the washer-dryer and pumps it further into the tank. The tiny WASH does not have an internal wastewater pump, which is why a gradient is absolutely necessary without a pump.
  • How is shipping carried out and what are the delivery times?
We ship throughout Europe with DHL. Accessories such as pumps and lifting systems are sent as regular DHL parcel shipments, washer dryers and built-in racks are sent as bulky goods due to their dimensions. The goods are usually dispatched within 2 to 3 days after ordering and receipt of payment. The transport times for regular parcels are between 1 and 2 days, bulky shipments require 2 to 5 days. Since bulky goods are processed differently logistically at DHL, in individual cases shipments may be temporarily stored in distribution or delivery centers for a few days until further transport can take place. You can track the current status of your shipment via tracking; you can find the shipment number in the PDF document of the delivery note, which you received by email when it was ready for shipment.
  • Error code E01
With the Error E01 the machine reports an error in the fresh water supply. SOLUTION: 1. Please check the fresh water supply and any valves or taps installed in the vehicle to see whether they are open. 2. Please check whether your vehicle's pressure pump has sufficient delivery capacity and delivery pressure.
  • Error codes E02 and E04
With the Error E04, the machine reports an error in the wastewater pipe, the water does not flow away correctly and backs up in the machine. SOLUTION: 1. Please check whether the wastewater hose has a kink or is otherwise blocked. 2. Please check whether the gradient between the water outlet of the machine and your gray water tank or other collecting container is sufficient.
  • Error code E06 / Door won't open or lock
The electronic door lock is blocked. Unplug the machine and wait 15 seconds. Plug the power plug back in and try again. If the door still cannot be opened, use the emergency release (see operating instructions). This error usually occurs when items of laundry are caught in the door or lock. Attention: This can lead to damage to the electronic locking.
  • The laundry is still very wet after spinning.
In the Quick program, the laundry is only spun briefly, which is why more water remains in the laundry. If the spin power is not sufficient in a regular program, you can also briefly start the DRY program. Here the laundry is spun intensively again. After spinning, simply cancel the DRY process manually.
  • The laundry is wetter after drying than before the drying process started.
The device draws water to cool the condenser during the drying process. If the wastewater hose does not have a sufficient slope, is kinked, sags, or does not have a free inlet (see drawing) into the wastewater tank or canister (hose end below the water surface in the wastewater tank), it can happen that the wastewater builds up in the hose until it finally flows remains in the machine and does not expire. As a result, the drying process does not work and the laundry spins in the water. In rare cases it happens that the machine's electronic drain valve does not open completely during the drying process. If you can rule out the waste water hose and tank influence as a source of error, please unplug the device for 15 seconds, plug it back in and then start the drying process again. By briefly disconnecting from the power, the control electronics of the valve are reset, which eliminates the error.
  • After starting the washing program, the drum rotates but no water is drawn.
This is not a malfunction. The machine has a load sensor. The machine uses this to check the load in all washing programs (with the exception of Quick) and then regulates the running time, amount of water, amount of detergent, etc. The machine needs between two and five minutes to determine the load. During this time the drum only rotates sporadically. It then starts the washing program and draws water accordingly.
  • The display continuously changes the washing program and the function buttons flash involuntarily.
If your machine's display switches between programs, operation is hardly possible and the individual function buttons "play disco" and light up alternately, please check your power supply. This phenomenon can occur very occasionally if you operate the machine via the inverter instead of shore power and the inverter supplies insufficient voltage, insufficient power or an unclean sine curve for alternating current. If you connect the machine directly to shore power for testing, the machine will run completely normally. In this case, have your inverter checked, as this behavior of the machine indicates insufficient performance or a defect.
  • Detergent residue in the drum and on the laundry after washing.
We strongly recommend that you use liquid detergent. Particularly in the Quick washing program (running time 15 minutes), it can happen that powder does not dissolve completely.
  • Foam residue on laundry after washing.
When adding detergent manually, please take into account that, in contrast to a household machine, with the tinyWASH both the drum volume and the load are significantly lower. If too much detergent is added, foam residue may remain after rinsing. This is particularly true in the Quick program. Here the laundry is washed once and rinsed only once. In the regular full wash programs, the laundry is rinsed up to four times, depending on the setting.
  • Accidentally put detergent powder in the detergent compartment.
The detergent storage compartment is only for liquid detergent. Powder clogs the internal lines and valves of the automatic dosing function. If you notice the error in time, please try to remove the dry powder with a vacuum cleaner. If the powder has already entered the dosing system, fill warm water (100ml, approx. 50°C) into the drawer, let the water work for 15 minutes and then start at least 5 washing cycles, in which you set the automatic dosing system to the highest dosage amount (see instructions). Unfortunately, if the dosing system no longer works, all you have to do is remove the entire system, flush and clean it manually and then reinstall it. If this becomes necessary, we recommend having this done by a specialist dealer or our service department.
  • What to do if the machine is defective?
In the event of a defect in the machine, please contact us by telephone during business hours (Mon - Thu 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., Fri 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.) or send us an e-mail to service@tinywash.de. E-mails to this address will be processed promptly even outside of our business hours or during our company holidays.
